Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) delivered victory remarks in Columbia, South Carolina after winning in the Palmetto State's U.S. Senate GOP primary runoff election. She accepted the nomination and thanked her team, the voters, her late brother Sen. Lindsey Graham, and her primary runoff opponent, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC). She also thanked President Trump who supported her appointment to the Senate following her brother's sudden death and her run for the nomination. Sen. Graham said the battle was not over yet and that it was important to defeat her Democratic opponent, Dr. Annie Andrews. She called Dr. Andrews "radical" and compared her to progressive Congresspeople Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The nonpartisan Cook Political Report rated the general election "Solid Republican."
