Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) gave victory remarks in Columbia, South Carolina, after winning in the Palmetto State's U.S. Senate Republican special primary runoff election. She accepted the nomination and thanked her team, the voters, her late brother Sen. Lindsey Graham, and her primary runoff opponent, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC). She also thanked President Trump, who supported her appointment to the Senate run for the nomination following her brother's sudden death. Sen. Graham said the battle was not over yet and that it was important to defeat her Democratic opponent, Dr. Annie Andrews. She called Dr. Andrews "radical" and compared her to progressives Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The nonpartisan Cook Political Report rated the general election "Solid Republican."
