Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says more migrants will lose their lives under a Labour government.The Prime Minister addressed reporters after his Rwanda legislation passed its third reason in the Commons on Wednesday.A backbench revolt in his Rwanda bill largely melted away.He is now facing a major battle with peers in the House of Lords, many of whom have already expressed deep unease about the Rwanda plan.The Prime Minister suggested a Labour government would only oversee more deaths among migrants crossing the Channel.Addressing reporters, he said: “It is important that we stop the boats because illegal migration is simply not fair, it’s not right that some people jump the queue, that they take away our resources to help those who need our most help and, by the way, are exploited by gangs, and many of them lose their lives making these dangerous crossings.”It comes after Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer blasted the idea in a fiery PMQs, saying the Rwanda plan is a "gimmick".
