Rep. Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), a candidate for reelection, spoke at the Rotary Club in Concord, New Hampshire. She spoke one-on-one with club members, discussing housing, health care, and her military record. During her remarks, she recalled working under the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), and his friendship with the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA). She said the two senators' friendship and partnership, despite their party differences, is what inspires her to work within an increasingly divided Congress. Asked about the Democratic Socialists of America, Rep. Goodlander said that while she is a capitalist, she can see that America's capitalist systems is failing people, but that the DSA's platform is not a clear solution. "We need competition in our economy, but not a new economic order."
