Springville student arrested after allegedly threatening another student with a gun

A teenager was arrested Thursday after allegedly bringing a gun to Springville High School and threatening another student. Officers were called about 1:30 p.m. after “a very observant teacher was able to notice that one of her students was visibly distressed in her class,” according to a statement from Springville police. The teacher and police learned the student had allegedly been threatened by another student with a gun in one of the school bathrooms just before lunch, police stated. That prompted a “heavy law enforcement presence” at the school to look for the armed teen.
