Cities Are Teaching Drug Users How To Shoot Up Properly

People who use drugs generally learn about it from their peers, the internet, TV or movies. But knowing how to inject drugs properly is important as overdoses are reaching record highs. A group known as OnPoint has opened safe drug consumption sites in New York City. The sites teach people how to dose their drugs properly in order to reduce the likelihood of overdoses. Common knowledge gaps among drug users are said to include knowing how to find veins. As well as knowing that they should be switching up which veins they use and not using tourniquets. Safe drug consumption sites also exist across Canada, Europe and Australia.
