Survivors of abuse by the late convicted financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein joined members of Congress at a briefing before President Trump's State of the Union address happening that evening. They called for the release of all files related to the FBI's investigation of Epstein with the Justice Department only releasing over 3 million pages out of an estimated 6 million total pages. They also demanded the passage of Virginia's Law, a proposed federal bill aimed at eliminating statutes of limitations for civil sexual abuse cases. Some survivors planned to attend Trump's speech as guests of Democratic lawmakers.
