Kim Kardashian has released a statement about Balenciaga’s controversial holiday ad campaign which has been accused of sexualizing minors. In a series of tweets, Kardashian explained that she held off on speaking out about it so she could try and “understand” how it happened. The Skims founder was “shaken” by the “disturbing images” and said “the safety of children must be held with the highest regard”. Kardashian said she appreciates the designer brand’s removal of the campaign and apology. I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again, Kim Kardashian. The reality tv star is “currently re-evaluating” her relationship with Balenciaga. She will base her decision on their “willingness to accept accountability” and “the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children”.
