CCTV: Thousands stolen from Linton shop in armed robbery

Police have released CCTV footage men they would like to speak to in connection with armed robberies in Linton and Sutton. On 24 February two men with crowbars threatened staff at the Co-op in High Street, Linton, at about 7.15pm and forced them to open the tills and safe. The men stole about £8,000 from the safe and cash from the tills. Two days prior to this offence (22 February), two men entered the One Stop shop in High Street, Sutton, at about 8.45pm with crowbars and wearing balaclavas. They demanded money from the tills and made off with about £1,000 in cash and cigarettes. Detective Constable Henry Longhurst, from the Southern Acquisitive Crime Team, said: “These incidents were both terrifying for the staff involved.
