Terrorist commander behind Hindu, Sikh murders killed in Srinagar encounter, say J&K police

J&K police said that it has killed three militants including a top commander of 'The Resistance Front' in a brief shootout in Srinagar's Rambagh area. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar told news agency ANI that the militant commander of Lashkar front TRF, Mehraan, was killed in the encounter along with two of his associates. As per police, Mehraan was involved in the killing of several civilians including two minority teachers in Srinagar. The gunfight in Srinagar's Rambagh came days after four people including two civilians were killed in nearby Hyderpora area that triggered widespread outrage and protests in Kashmir.
