Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), the 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee, delivered the keynote address at the South Carolina Democratic Party's 2025 state party convention. He said the party has to recognize that it has lost its way and a new strategy is needed to win elections on a national level. Walz stated Democrats need to "work for working people" and "be their champions again." He also attacked President Donald Trump, calling him a "bully" and encouraging Democrats to "bully him back."
