Vice President JD Vance delivered remarks on combating fraud in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) at the FBI's Cincinnati Field Office. During a Q&A with reporters, Vance was asked about a GOP attack ad targeting Ohio Democratic gubernatorial nominee Amy Acton that featured a denunciation of Acton by her own mother. Asked whether the ad went too far given Acton's experience growing up in an abusive household, Vance said, "Whether the ad was appropriate or not is not really my concern." He also said he was "a little bit disgusted" with Republicans who were "whining" about the ad, adding, "Politics is a tough business." Vance was joined by Attorney General Todd Blanche and other federal officials.
