Ilhan Omar’s Foreign Policy Vision: Gut Presidential War Powers, Redirect Pentagon Funding for ‘Peace Building’

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) introduced a series of foreign policy bills, including one that would effectively remove presidential authority to declare a national emergency and put economic sanctions in place and give it to Congress and another that would redirect $5 million from the Pentagon to the State Department for a “peace building fund.”
