Hearing on the President 's Emergency Plan for Global AIDS Program

Witnesses testified at a House Appropriations Committee subcommittee hearing on the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and global health initiatives. Much of the hearing -- particularly in questioning from Democrats -- focused on recent cuts to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and its role in achieving PEPFAR's goals of reducing HIV transmission and preventing deaths of those already infected.
