Archbishop Hicks greets Mayor Mamdani with a hug during St. Patrick’s Day festivities in NYC

Mayor Zohran Mamdani was spotted front and center at a Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Tuesday morning as part of the Big Apple's traditional Irish commemorations. Hizzoner, the city's first Muslim mayor, could be seen smiling as New York's new archbishop, Ronald Hicks, passed by him at the beginning of the service inside the famed Manhattan cathedral. Mamdani's attendance at the service comes just weeks after he dissed millions of area Catholics by opting to skip the local archbishop’s installation on Feb. 6.
