One of the biggest memes of the year so far has been the introduction of "freak" as a popular word in internet language. It all started with Tinashe's track, Nasty, that was released earlier this year where she asked the question "Is somebody going to match my freak?". The extremely catchy hook has rung throughout social media, starting as a song to dance to, but then people began the ask the question themselves alongside funny the criteria someone would need. This then also spread to X where people began posting famous couples and duos saying that they matched each other's freak.
