One of the six victims in Tuesday's tragic Lake Tahoe region avalanche has been identified as Katherine Vitt- a mother of two and passionate skier. Vitt's neighbor, Sheryl Longman, describes her as "a wonderful mom, a wonderful neighbor", who used to walk her kids to school every morning. In a joint statement of the six victims families, the deceased were described as "experienced backcountry skiers who deeply respected the mountains."
