A court in Los Angeles County has found Meta liable in the endangerment of children on its multiple social media platforms. Supporters and families of the plaintiff rejoiced outside of the courthouse following the verdict in the landmark case. The jury found the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and more, to be negligent in designing sites that were harmful to minors without providing proper warnings. Meta is now being ordered to pay $4.2 million in damages.
