Tropical storm Pabuk brings torrential rain and winds in Thailand

Rain, winds and surging seawater were striking southern Thailand as a strengthening tropical storm approached coastal villages and tourist resorts. Officials drove trucks through flooded streets with downed power lines and urged people to leave.
