This New Honda SUV is Your Passport to Safe Driving

Truth be told, I probably picked the worst weekend to test drive a car. (Or, the best weekend--depends on how you look at it.) We were looking for a safe, family SUV and the all new 2019 Honda Passport seemed intriguing. With a half foot of snow falling overnight, we decided to take this midsize SUV on a trip up the canyon. The roads were not ideal. (OK, they were really bad.) Honda’s Intelligent Traction Management system handled the roads like a champ Size-wise, the 2019 Honda Passport SUV sits between the best-selling CR-V and the Pilot. However, the Passport feels just like a Pilot without the third-row seat. It's heavy enough to stay put on snowy roads, but nimble enough to get me well north of the 20/25mpg city/highway mileage estimates. The size of the Passport fares well for those who need to haul gear. Put the back seats down and the Passport sports 100 cubic feet of cargo space. Even the storage areas have hidden compartments. The 280-horse, V-6 under the hood can tow up to 5000 lbs. This is a workhorse. Couple that with the standard Honda Sensing, a suite of safety features that is…pretty sweet. All that safety makes the Passport a great vehicle for soon-to-be-driving daughters. Check out a new Honda Odyssey at any of your Utah Honda Dealers.
