Gavin Vander Schaaf was diagnosed with a brain malformation at 5 years old and has been dealing with chronic pain all his life. He picked up a tennis racquet at 12 years old and his passion for the sport has given him new levels of confidence and propelled him to push through the pain and to keep going. Gavin deals with adversity by accepting it and putting the energy towards sharing his story and helping others. He pays forward the kindness that he once received.
