A bright streak of light believed to be space debris streamed across the night sky in California. Footage shows the beams travelling over the dark sky as seen from a street in Los Angeles on April 2. An onlooker initially thought the light was meteor showers. He said: 'Meteor shower on the way home from work in LA.' Space debris appears as faint points or streaks of light moving across the sky that move in a consistent direction and speed. While meteors appear as bright, rapidly moving streaks of light that quickly burn up in the atmosphere.
