Michelin-starred chef slams housing plan near restaurant

The dissent of a Napa chef with Michelin credentials has led to the California town of Yountville nixing an affordable housing project he deemed undesirable. Thomas Keller, the chef-owner of the Michelin-starred French Laundry, had shown up to a Yountville Town Council meeting clad in his work garments earlier this month in order to complain about the project, which he thought would not be attractive to workers. The gray-haired famed chef complained openly about the council's lack of communication with him.
