350 Million Electric Vehicles Could Be on the Road by 2030. Can Chargers Keep Up?

"There are a couple of million viable chargers that have been deployed globally. When you look at some of the numbers that we're seeing and some of the estimates, you've seen some as high as 450 million chargers needing to be deployed between now and 2040. So when you look at a couple of million to where we need to go, we haven't even started." At the end of 2021, there were 16.5 million electric vehicles (EVs) on the road. Under a net-zero-by-2050 scenario, this will rise to 350 million by 2030.
