LADDER TO SUCCESS 2 - Agility Drill for Ages 6-9. English FA coach, Neil McKay, teaches you a more advanced Ladder drill to build advanced agility and coordination in younger players. Players will drive their arms up and down to get the rhythm needed to place the balls of both feet into each gap in the ladder in a fluid motion. Younger players may initially struggle with this drill and may hit the ladder rather than the gaps. They may require reminders on arm movements, keeping their head up and getting the balls of both feet down. If necessary, practice the full movement without the ladder to refine the movements before returning to the ladder. Practice 2-3 times per week for 5-10 minutes to build fluid coordination.
