Toyota AWD vehicles can develop a bearing noise in the rear differential viscous coupling assembly. The assembly also contains an electromagnetic coupler. Depending on model, the electro coupler may be part of the viscous unit or part of the differential assembly. Toyota now provides replacement components and issued a TSB (T-SB-0080-13R1) on how to repair.
