Studs Terkel talked about his life and his work. He reponded to telephone calls and electronic mail from viewers. Mr. Terkel won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature for [The Good War: An Oral History of World War II]. He is well known as a chronicler of the lives of ordinary Americans. He is the author of more than a dozen books that tell the stories of people he has interviewed, including [Chicago], [Working], [The Great Divide], [Race], and [The Spectator]. For more than 40 years, Mr. Terkel was the host of a daily radio program on WFMT in Chicago. He is an actor, having appeared on radio dramas, in theater productions, and in films, including [Eight Men Out].
