Prior to a bilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump said all Palestinians should permanently leave Gaza as the territory gets rebuilt in the aftermath of the Israel-Hamas war. "Why would they want to return? The place has been hell," he said. He added that he did not believe Egypt or Jordan would refuse his idea to resettle Palestinians in their countries and surrounding areas. Prime Minister Netanyahu, when asked if former President Joe Biden or President Trump should get credit for the ceasefire and hostage deal, replied, "I think President Trump added great force and powerful leadership to this effort. I appreciate it. He sent a very good emissary. He's helped it along."
