When River Vandenberg was at the west beach in Belle River this fall, he found a bottle. The kindergarten student from St. John the Baptist Catholic Elementary School took that bottle to class. He soon learned the letter inside was written by a former student of the same school — more than a quarter of a century ago in 1998.
