Alpine F1 driver Fernando Alonso has said he would back the idea of hosting a third Grand Prix in the United States. In 2022 F1 will have two races in the US after announcing that the first-ever Miami GP will take place in May 2022. The racing series will then return to the US in October to race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Alonso says he is open to having a third GP in the US but stressed they must make a good Grand Prix in Miami first. "There are rumors it could happen in different places, Las Vegas or Indianapolis or whatever, so let’s see one step at a time. But let’s make a good Grand Prix in Miami next year first," Fernando Alonso. F1 has seen large growth in America in recent years due to the success of the Netflix documentary series Drive to Survive.
