Springfield, Illinois police responded to a 911 call for Earl Moore Jr. on December 18, 2022. Moore was hallucinating and responding officers called paramedics to transport him to the hospital for medical treatment. The paramedics who treated him improperly placed him on the gurney leading to his death. The paramedics were charged with first degree murder on January 10, 2023.
