New research suggests that baby and teenage great white sharks prefer shallow waters close to shore. In a new study published April 19 in Frontiers in Marine Science, scientists have found that the young sharks congregate in “nurseries” about half a mile from the shore in warm waters. The study tracked 22 juvenile sharks around Padaro Beach in Santa Barbara.
