Future technology in off-highway equipment starts now, says Jeremy Harsin, Cummins Global Construction Manager. Systems and components which will power heavy machinery into the next decade are already under development, including batteries, hydrogen fueled systems and advanced diesel engines. A variety of power solutions will be necessary as there is no one solution that will fit the needs of every machine or application. As such, Cummins is making research and development investments in various power options and working with OEM customers to create solutions which will best fit industry requirements.
