Astronaut-Athlete Larry DeLucas: The First Man to Dunk in Space

Larry DeLucas is a multi-sport athlete whose talents are literally out of this world. In 1992, he flew aboard the space shuttle as a bioresearch scientist, and before it was over, became the first person to dunk a basketball in space. He won two medals in the cornhole competition at the 2023 National Senior Games, and also competed in bowling. While his game is good, his perspective on life is even better, thanks to his time in space.
