[The 1%] was the first-prize high school central division winner in C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam documentary contest. The video was produced by Griffin Olis, Michael Frazier, and Zehn Wani, twelfth graders at Troy Athens High School in Troy, Michigan. The local cable provider was Comcast. C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam video documentary contest is an annual national competition in which middle and high school students produce a documentary on a specific theme. The 2016 theme was "Road to the White House," with students answering the question, "What issues do you want presidential candidates to discuss?"
