Jamaican-born David Muir has called South Florida home for nearly 20 years. And in that time, he’s connected deeply with the community through his photography, his writing, his social work, his passion for celebrating Caribbean cooking on TV and at food festivals, and now through a permanent celebration of island culture. He explains how the dip in work during the pandemic motivated him to speed up his plans to open the world’s first museum dedicated to Caribbean culture.
