Candidate for U.S. Senate Mary Peltola (D-AK) and candidate for reelection Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) participated in a debate hosted by the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce. The two candidates answered questions on meeting with stakeholders, the biggest issues that faced the fishing community, and federal programs that could help Alaska seafood products compete, among other topics. The two candidates would face off in the November 3rd, 2026, general election, which the nonpartisan Cook Political Report rated a "Toss Up" and Inside Elections rated "Tilt Republican."
