Judge Nathaniel Jones was honored on the occasion of his donating his papers to the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He has been active in civil rights in the U.S. and in South Africa. He was general counsel for the NAACP for ten years and has been a judge for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Ohio for 14 years. He was appointed by President Jimmy Carter.
