Vampire bats are terrorizing Brazilians as they sleep

An unprecedented rise in bat attacks against humans in the region cost a man his life this past March. Edivalson Francisco Souza, 46, was milking a cow on a farm in Paramirim when he accidentally stepped on a rabies-carrying bat that bit his foot.
