Ozone protects life on Earth from the sun’s UV radiation which can lead to skin cancer and blindness. Back in 1985, scientists discovered a huge ozone hole caused by chemicals called CFCs, found in aerosols, refrigerants and air conditioning. Scientists have been tracking the ozone hole with 3D imaging and say it could heal by 2070, thanks to massive global cooperation.
