Bessent warns other countries, aligning yourself with China is essentially ‘cutting your own throat’

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spoke at the American Bankers Association Wednesday morning and touched largely on tariffs. Bessent said China is the main escalator and offender in global trading. He warned other countries that aligning yourself with their tariff policies is basically “cutting your own throat.”
