Rogan pushes back on Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s claim anti-ICE protests were Chinese manufactured

Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast, where the two disagreed over the cause of June’s anti-ICE protests. When Luna tried to claim that the “pop-up riots” were funded by “Chinese money,” Rogan pushed back, arguing that the protesters were expressing actual opposition to ICE raids. The riots were centralized in Los Angeles, where dozens of people were arrested, and images of rioters throwing bricks at cop cars and clashing with police shocked the nation. The raucous riots came in protest to nationwide raids by federal immigration agents enforcing President Trump’s order to nab and deport illegal immigrants in the US. The unrest reportedly cost the City of Angels more than $32 million in damages and police overtime costs, not counting the cost of National Guard troops ordered in by Trump.
