T'puram: Finance Minister Dr Thomas Isaac said that Karunya Benevolent Fund Scheme will not be extended as the health insurance scheme and Karunya could not be run together.Though the two schemes were run together for three months, it was futile, he said. The medical expenses of those who are not covered under the new scheme would be met at the government hospitals and an order for the same would be issued soon, he said.
