These 1,500 symbols of the Confederacy are under siege in the US

The Civil War ended 152 years ago, but roughly 1,500 symbols of the Confederacy still exist in public spaces today, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The list of controversial relics includes 718 statues and monuments.
