Adam Schiff Suggests That White House Lawyers Don't Trust the Chief Justice To Be Fair

Lead House impeachment manager Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed that Republicans do not trust Chief Justice John Roberts to be fair, drawing a parallel with his claim that the president's resistance to subpoenas was evidence of guilt. He said that he would offer, in advance, to abide by all of the Chief Justice's rulings on witnesses and documents, but that Republicans would not. That, he said, was evidence they did not trust him.
