Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Matthew Albence said "the sole reason" 92-year-old Maria Fuertes was murdered is because of New York City's sanctuary policy that shields illegal aliens from arrest and deportation. The suspect in the case was arrested on a different charge but released shortly before the murder occurred.
