T'puram: The CPM has dismissed VS Achuthanandan's demand to stop the black sand mining at Alappad. The CPM Secretariat has decided not to stop the mining completely. In the secretariat meeting, it has also being decided to conduct further meetings on the issue and also to resolve the concerns of the locals there.
