Formula One has announced that the film starring Brad Pitt will be released in cinemas on June 25, 2025. The Apple Original Film, made with F1 and Warner Bros., will star Pitt as a former driver returning to Formula One. British actor Damson Idris is set to play Pitt's rookie team-mate on their fictional team APXGP. Oscar-winner Javier Bardem and Emmy Award-winner Tobias Menzies will also star in the blockbuster. Mercedes racing driver Lewis Hamilton is executive producing the film and it is being directed by Top Gun: Maverick director, Joseph Kosinksi. Filming has already begun at races on the Formula One calendar. They filmed at Silverstone last year and will continue through this season, finishing at Abu Dhabi in December.
