Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s ousted shah, is a guest speaker at this year’s CPAC, which is currently taking place in Grapevine, Texas. The 65-year-old has been out of Iran for 47 years and is putting himself forward as a leading candidate to help transition the Iranian government. Trump has been hesitant to endorse Pahlavi in this position as the president feels that someone inside Iran might be a better leader.
