Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) clashes with Sen. Eric Schmitt's (R-MO) over his questioning of former Special Counsel Jack Smith, including whether he attended an Atlanta Hawks vs Golden State Warrior game on Feb. 3, 2024, which Smith denies. Sen. Schmitt then links the alleged Atlanta visit to a possible meeting with Fulton County DA, Fani Willis who was investigating Trump over his conduct during the 2020 presidential election in Georgia, and says he has text messages from his team that he was in Atlanta at that time. "I think you've already perjured yourself," Schmitt says. Former Special Counsel Smith later confirms that he attended a women's basketball game between the University of Maryland Terrapins and the Iowa Hawkeyes at College Park, MD that day. Klobuchar connects the confusion between the Hawks and the Hawkeyes and tells Schmitt, "I think that people should have their facts straight before they accuse someone of being a dirtbag," she says.
