Cher has been accused of hiring four men to kidnap her son, Elijah Blue Allman, from a New York hotel room, court documents show. The allegations were made by Allman’s wife, Marie Angela King, in divorce papers that were filed in December 2022. King said the incident occurred when she and Allman, 47, were staying in a New York City hotel after Cher requested that the pair leave her home. "4 people came to our hotel room and removed (Allman) from our room. I was told by one of the 4 that they were hired by his mother. I am unaware of my husband’s wellbeing or whereabouts and have been told that I am not allowed to see or speak to him," wrote King. She believes Allman is “in lockdown at a treatment facility” and “has no access to his phone." In 2014, Allman admitted to taking drugs from the age of 11 and battling addiction, but claimed to be sober since 2008.
